This service is extremely expensive. When I signed up I was assured that my family could use the internet and stream netflix regularly. It is the 4th day of our first month with them and we have already exceeded our data usage. I just had to buy tokens to make my internet work. I called customer service and they communicate that I have no other options. I am looking for every other option! Thumbs... Read more

It's overpriced you should never have to pay this much for a service that is so limited with such ridiculous data caps and the tokens are even more outrageous! The anonymous customer that posted in Feb I felt as if she was telling my family's exact situation verbatim. We must have internet because of school and our careers, but we live out in the country and have no other option... I feel robbed... Add comment

I called to cancel my service in March. The lady (Taylor, I believe) told me I could suspend my account for 90 days then it would automatically cancel. Instead of cancelling, they reactivated my account in July and have charged me since then. I have not used their service at all during this time period. I just realized these charges this month. I have had hughes net for 5 months. They don't have a page we can write on because I am sure they have too many complaints. so they disabled comments. I live in the sierra mountains. My internet options are limited to Volcano internet and Hughes net. Volcano cant help me anymore so all I have is hughes net. I am writing you out of desperation for a decent internet connection. We live in the woods in Ohio facing north. We are within 1 mile of DHL internet service, but can't get it here. Other companies have tried to line up a satellite connection without success, so our only choice is Hughesnet. Hughs net debuted my bank account with out my permission. I took there ability to debt my account when i canceled there services an they still kept my card number on file and charged my account with out my permission. Just another company that tacks on fee after fee. Not to mention the fact that they bind you in a 2 year agreement which I was told was only a one year agreement considering I was moving out in less than a year. I was reassured it was a 1 year agreement and when I decided to cancel I was charged $250 for early cancelation. No supervisor was able to work out any sort of a deal with me... Read more

Hughesnet took a double payment from my on file debit card, when only one payment was due. To make matters worse, 2 weeks later they then took an advance payment.
